CM Revolution Mid-Season Update

 CM REVOLUTION Mid-Season Update

As we enter the second half of the hockey season, we wanted to share some updates and team accomplishments from the first half of the 2019/2020 season.  Overall, the CM Revolution participates in three leagues with our largest presence in the Valley Hockey League for travel team hockey.  Several teams are in the top of the standings in their divisions and have had great success in tournaments as well.  Best of luck to all teams for continued success and a strong finish to the season!

House League & Learn to Play:

Bruins Academy and House League Sessions were capped with full registrations this season!  Winter Session 2 of House League is under way and great progress is being made by the kids!  Bruins Academy for Girls is scheduled for March and is expected to be a great success.

Our 7 mites teams are off to a solid start this season participating in the Northstar Youth Hockey League.  Over the December break, our Mite 3 Red team participated in the Tourney in the Woods tournament in Groton MA.  In March, four of our mites teams will be participating in the annual Lobster Pot Tournament in Cape Cod.

Lady Revolution:

The Central Mass Lady Revolution teams are having a successful season so far in the Middlesex Yankee Girls Hockey League.  All three teams (U14, U12, and U10) attended the Cranberry Classic in Cape Cod over Thanksgiving weekend and had a ton of fun on the ice and in the water park!    On January 10th, the U14 and U12 teams participated in an inter-squad scrimmage at Harvard University, followed by a great Harvard-Quinnipiac women's game.  There have been two very successful girls’ clinics held so far and the next clinic is coming up on February 8th! PLUS ALL GIRL Bruins Academy.... scroll down the home page for more information on how to register.

All four squirts teams are in their first year participating in the Valley Hockey League.  Two of the teams are currently in first place in their respective divisions and another team in the top 3 of the standings.  Our Squirt 1 team placed 2nd in the Goblet Tournament over Thanksgiving and will be playing in the State Tournament for District 7 in the coming month.  Squirt 2 placed 2nd in the Waterville Valley tournament and won the Western Mass Freeze Out tournament over MLK weekend.

All four of our peewee teams are now participating in the Valley Hockey League with 3 of the teams currently in the top 3 of the standings in their respective divisions.  Peewee 1 and 2 attended the Waterville Valley tournament in November and Peewee 1 placed 2nd in the Tourney in the Woods tournament over December break.  Additional tournaments are scheduled in the 2nd half of the season for the Peewee 2 & 3 teams.

We have one bantam team participating this year in the Valley Hockey League.  They are holding their own in the East A National Division and look to continue their efforts in the second half of the season!

Five teams participated in the fall midget half season that ended the weekend before Thanksgiving. While the teams battled in the respective divisions, the development and skills improvement helped many who moved on to JV and Varsity high school teams for the winter season.   For the winter season, a strong interest in the program resulted in two strong teams for the with full rosters of 18-20 players and a surplus of goalies. Both teams are doing well early and hope to make a deep playoff run.  We were overwhelmingly surprised with the turnout of players for the winter season with some players on a waiting list and we look forward to following their progress!

Goalie Trainings:

Goalie clinics are being held twice per week with consistent attendance from several of our goalies ranging from mites to bantam.  Clinics are open to any full or part-time goalie!  Their hard work and dedication is paying off!

Stay tuned for the announcement ofthe 2020/2021 player evaluations!
