Goalie Program
The Central Mass Revolution Goalie Program offers additional, position-specific training and practice sessions to the organization’s goalies. The program is open to all registered players, whether you’re a full-time goalie on a team or you’re putting the pads on for the first time.
Ages & skill level
This program is open to all age levels from 8U to 18U/19U. Sessions are designated by skill level at staff discretion, with some overlap.
- Beginner: 0-2 years experience
- Intermediate: 1-4 years experience
- Advanced: 3+ years experience
Shooters & Helpers
We are always looking for USA Hockey-registered shooters and helpers at our sessions. Contact our Goalie Director, Nick D’Errico (nicholasjderrico@gmail.com), for more information and to get on the list.
Where
All practices are at Northstar in Westborough.
When
Each skill level practices weekly throughout the season. Nights may adjust based on availability.

Is this open to goalies trying the position? Yes! Whether you’re a mite who’s been assigned the pads or you’re curious and want to see what it’s like, we’ll happily work with you. Not sure you want to register? Contact Nick D’Errico (nicholasjderrico@gmail.com) to find out more.
I don’t have goalie pads. Can I still try goalie? Absolutely. We keep a stock of extra pads in all sizes to loan throughout the season, at no extra cost (this is separate from the mite team pads). If you fall in love with the position, you can keep using the pads until you get the pieces you need, within a reasonable time frame. Contact Nick D’Errico with 7 days’ notice and we can get you set up. You will still need the following player gear:
- Skates
- Helmet
- Jock/Jill and athletic cup
- Player pants
- Jersey (larger size if you have one)
- Neck/throat protection
I already go to another goalie coach. What can I learn from your sessions? We do our best to work alongside and build on what you’re already doing in your other sessions. While the fundamentals of goaltending are the same no matter where you go, no two goalies or goalie coaches are the same. We offer our own unique perspective within the framework of USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM) for goaltenders.

2023/24
Participation is free for registered Central Mass Revolution players. Goalies must register for this program separately once they’ve registered for their team. They will then be placed in their appropriate skill level.
